Recently someone close to Labour invited me to look at the big picture...insisting that the alpha and omega of all problems is two decades of PN governments and that the most relevant issue is whether there should be a change of government or not. I smiled imagining what two decades of labour would look like...
I simply replied that my picture is probably bigger than his.
The silence coming from mile land and Castille on the situation in libya shows clearly what the "big picture" of Maltese politics is. They won't speak irrespective of how many people are killed.
It is the same "big picture" on all the issues relevant to me... migration, human rights, divorce, hunting, tuna farming, electoral reform, party financing, the need for liberalizations in protected sectors, unsustainable water practices, the minimum wage... This is the big picture for me period.
